You aren’t cool, are you? You try to be. You try HARD. That’s why you’ve got that Supreme hat on, right? That’s why you spent your last paycheck on those white Nikes. That’s why your 9th grade boyfriend broke up with you, right?
People’s eyes don’t turn your direction. Your joke has to be funny, because they won’t laugh if it’s not. They don’t give you that credit automatically. You have to think about it, you have to try.
It doesn’t come naturally for you.
And if you have to try for it, it isn’t yours and it never will be.
